More than 20 years ago, I painted this Thunderbird mural on the wall of the gym at Johnson Elementary. Recognizing the inappropriateness of using a sacred symbol as a school mascot, this year the school changed its mascot to the Huskies, and I got the chance to make a wrong thing right.
